Like everyone else getting DCed from L2 with the message "3rd party software...Blah~Blah~Blah~" I had the same problem but finally figured out the cause of it and its solution.
It's the Game Guard working too well. It recognizes any other program other than itself and the current L2 Client, as the 3rd party program; and this includes the other L2 client running as well. Yep, if you run 2-3 clients at the same time, it recognizes other L2 clients as 3rd party programs! LOL!
So, what to do? Most of the NC staff who can actually do anything are on Christmast + New Years vacation and they won't be back until after the "New Year's Holidays!" OMG! Only the community GMs are available...
What do we do?
Simple.
Just follow my instructions below.
1. There shouldn't be any background programs running while you open L2 Clients. Norton Anti Virus constantly checks your computer so this has to be disabled...and you need to also STOP DownLoading Porns as you open the L2 Clients.
2. After the account verification, click on "File Repair" instead of "Play" button just in case it's file error.(You need to do this just once)
3. Check for your WiFi-Driver Update. A lot of people get DCed when the WIFI Driver is not up to date.
4. Open L2 clients one by one. At the moment, you are allowed to run 3 clients on 1 x computer. So..open all 3 but don't do anything with the character that you choose to log in. Even clicking the NPC to get the quest, or checking the prices of what other people are selling, or checking your mail will alert the GameGuard and it will recognize 2 of your L2 Clients as Foreign programs and will cause all 3 to shut down.
5. After you logged in all 3 accounts(or 2), Press "Ctrl + Enter" This will allow the L2 go from full screen mode to Window mode and now you will be able to see 4 x icons at the Bottom center of your screen.
3 x L2 clients and 1 x GG(Game Guard)
Simply.....
Move your mouse to GG...then Right Click....Move down to close GG then CLOSE IT! LOL
Once you log in, you don't need the game guard to play the game. It's there only for the log in process. So close it once you open all 3 accounts.
You will have no problem playing now.
Dear NC, I just prevented a major disaster caused by your lack of vigilance. Christmas in 12 days...New Years in 19 days...by the time you guys came back from your vacation and solved the problem, 3 weeks will have passed and You will have lost like 90% of L2 players.
I just came up with an emergency solution here and prevented the Disaster.
You can thank me now and send me 100B Adena + the Dragon weapon Bow LvL4.
