I've played this game before twice. First when it came out many many years ago still on chronicle 1 and then around 3 years ago or something like that for a few months.
I really enjoyed this game but stopped playing for several reasons, being the first one that it had to be paid, something that doesn't happen now, but also because the game wasnt friendly to new players.
So, I wanted to ask you all some questions/opinions, to see if this game has changed and if it is worth my time at the moment or if I will just play for 1 week and be forced to leave again.
- Is there room for a casual player in this game? I have no time to play 6 hours a day for example. I'm not talking about becoming the best player without effort or killing every boss alone and stuff like that, but I would like to login once upon a time and manage to have some fun and progress slowly through the game. I usually play spellhowler. The next questions will probably enlight you about what I mean with some fun daily and slow progression.
- When I played before the game was very very very hard for solo players since level 1. I had no money to teleport, no money for skillshots, no money for the armor/weapons grade I could use, etc. I always had to be begging stuff from everyone, hoping someone could give me an hand, farming in the same spot for 20 levels because I could just not move on without gear, etc. I read about mentees/mentor, awakening, etc, but does this really helps? Its really sad that in such an old game, even with a lot of upgrades every now and then, new players find it so hard to play.
-Besides having people always telling me to join a clan, people was also always saying "create a dwarf and spoil", "create an healer to give you mana", "I have 10 accounts, do like me". As obvious I don't want anything like that. Makes no sense that to play I need one char from each class. Will I still hear that 24/7 to all my questions? Its really sad that before playing with my main character I have to create other accounts to support it first.
I think the key problems why I left were those. Don't take me for a lazy guy, although I may be one, but there are limits for everything. Theres no way I'm coming back if I need to have 10 different accounts and play with them simultaneous to support my main character or if I will be needing to farm with 0 spiritshots until level 85. Not even talking about the kookaburra stealing all my experience or wtv that was people said I needed.
What do you think honestly? Does it worth to play for a while or will I just be working my *** off from level 1 farming in places with blue mobs not getting rewarded for it at all while old players already have everything and power level all their accounts to level 85 and I will never get to their level by my own?
Oh and meanwhile, Im from Portugal, so what server suits me better? Shilen?
