Dear NCSoft,
First let me start with this. The game economy is not much different than real life economy just on a smaller scale. Mostly based on supply and demand. High demand an low supply = higher prices, Low demand and high supply = lower prices. What I don't seem to understand is why, with every event that you come out with, you take the current economy and manage to **** it up?
2 months ago, I would guess that about 1 Trillion adena was introduced into Chronos economy via a "h.a.c.k" or "cheat" with the race manager system. You said that you took care of the issues and fixed it, yet market prices at least on Chronos are still ridiculously high for no reason. I know that you didn't catch 100% of that adena that was introduced, its almost impossible being that there are only like 2 or 3 people working on this game anymore.
Now you introduce and event that makes R99 weapons ridiculously over priced for 2 reasons. Before event +8 and higher Retributers were hard to come by. Reason for that is the OE rate of Mage weapons and the use of HEWR being +7 max for magic weapons. Okay thats fine, but then you bring and event in like this that allows people to switch a +12 or higher R99 (insert melee weapon name here) into a super OE retributer for what? 1.2B worth of R gems? At least make the event so anything higher than a +7 melee weapon cannot be changed for a mage weapon. I understand that you are trying to help some people who are changing their duel class out, but you are screwing a lot of people in the process. Not only those who spend Billions on trying to OE their Retributers before the event, but honestly anyone trying to buy a R99 weapon at all at this point.
You have introduced yet another event that has completely shattered the stability of our economy just as we were starting to recover from the hacking and cheating.
Please stop trying to control the economy in the game and let it be 100% player driven. I know that you are a business and you are attempting to improve customer relations and make money, and I'm going to be honest here, at this point customer relations is already too far gone for you to recover from. We love the game, we don't like the management.
In regards to the money issue, I understand what it takes to run a server, pay employees, maintenance and royalty fees, but your prices, they are ******* ridiculous. $50 US dollars hardly buys anything from the L2 store that's worth a ****. Please take lessons from NCWest and NCEurope about L2 Store pricing. While their prices are about 1/2 of what yours are, they also have about 10x the player base actually buying those items. You are actually loosing nothing by lowering the prices on L2 store, you are selling lines of code, nothing is actually taken from your company and given to a player.
