PLEASE READ FIRST: Answers like "You can't, buy adena, bot, or buy items from NCStore" or "Only lvl 85+ characters can make money" while partly accurate are not what I'm looking for.
I played Beta thru right after C3 dropped, and then quit for many years. I reactivated my accounts this weekend and have found things very alien to me.
For one, the thousands and thousands of crafting materials I had were corroded. The conversion NPC in Giran was an absolute nightmare, and took me about an hour to work through (no surprise NCSoft is horrible with GUI/NPC interface though...)
So I'm left now, completely unsure how to make money. I wanted to ask a bit about crafting, since it's what I know.
I used to spoil farm constantly back in the day, and craft Soulshots and whatnot in town for Adena. I have found the market seems to be very different now. For one, I haven't really gotten drops like weapon parts, armor patterns, or a single recipe drop since I started again. Where have all the recipes gone? Is crafting still viable? and if so, at what level?
Are there any up-to-date sources of information for spoil and drop chances?
Also, I've been doing raidbosses pretty regularly since I started again, and haven't gotten a single item drop from them (perhaps items are dropping but someone else is getting the loot? I'm not sure how loot is distributed anymore.)
And lastly, I guess I'm supposed to use daggers on my Bounty Hunter? I don't understand what's going on.
