There is something that bothers me nowadays. Actually it's been bothering me since the beginning of my return.
It's the noobs that join the clan to ask for "Adena" and "Free Powerleveling"
I try to be nice and help the people in need in general, but there are those who seem to think that they have the RIGHT? to ask for other people's money and time. Their base reasoning is as followed: since it's the right thing to help people in need; if they need help, they have the RIGHT to ask and get people's help.
This way of reasoning really bothers me. It's like... if they are out of money they have the right to take other people's money.
If they need adena, then why not spend the extra time doing the dailies or do some adena making activities? and if they really need adena that much so fast then why not spend some real money at Nstore and sell some stuff?
If anyone works for 1 hr on minimum wage in real life and spend that money, it's better than 10 hrs in-game farming for adena. So if they need adena that bad, then why not go get a job?
In the past, Yes I've helped the newbies who were in need but only 1 out of 5 turned out to be good and the other 4, I don't see them anymore.
I've helped them with something as trivial as Nstore-Soul Shots or Spirit shots, or with the entire TW set(he got the +5 Apo weapon from other clan member) but they all disappeared...The funny thing was...those 4 didn't even thank me, but only complained more and how much they needed more...and when I gently suggested that they actually play the game instead of relying on others, they disappeared...
They join a clan and start begging people for Adena and gear, Free leveling, or ask the clan Iss buffers to use SOE just so that s/he can get LvL 3 or LvL 4 buff when at his level, he can get the 1 hr Newbie NPC BUFF...(actually NPC buff is better cuz Iss sonata is 5 minute long, whereas NPC Sonata lasts for 1 full hour)
There are people who are level 100+ and with good gears because they've played this game for more than 10 years and they've worked hard and smart;
and there are people who leveled fast and have good gears because they've spent thousands of $$ at the Nstore.
So a noob comes into this game(not a real noob but a returner most likely)
and all of a sudden, the high levels are obligated to hand the noob their hard worked Adena(either by playing a lot of hrs or paying Hundreds or Thousands of Real money) just because the noob needs and wants the instant gears? It just doesn't make sense to me.
It's like there are too much human rights in this game. When somebody does something nice to you, it's something you SHOULD APPRECIATE, NOT something TO BE Taken for Granted and Exploit.
And you know something? You don't need a lot to enjoy this game. (I know this cuz I have a lot but the game didn't change much for me than before)
L2 is about process. You can have just as much fun playing level 20 toon or level 40...or 60...80...100...++ they are all the same...
