First of all, whoever designed the pseudo-window pseudo-dialog login dialog must have bought into the whole thing about "you should quit all running applications before launching Lineage II" just a little too much. And dealing with a dialog that actively tries to evade any form of automatic focus transfer (e.g. alt-tab, minimizing the window that was opened right after the login dialog, etc.) is a real pain in the *** if you have even a single window (e.g. a browser) open.
With that out of the way, let's see what could have been done now that we are unconstrained by the game client's limitations and GG's input obfuscation:
Seriously, do you think people in the western regions (NCWest-exclusive) are so poor most of them play on shared computers?
With that out of the way, let's see what could have been done now that we are unconstrained by the game client's limitations and GG's input obfuscation:
- Make 'Remember me' remember the password as well. Or add a separate option for the password, whatever.
- Disable the automatic reset to 'AutoGameRun=0'.
- Add an AutoLogin option that, when password is saved, doesn't wait until the user presses "LOGIN" and moves on to updating/launching the client.
