Looking for a guide?

Hi, I'm new to the game, just made my first character yesterday and I seem to be having trouble. I'm playing a dark elf mage and I seem to have trouble with a level 25 quest, despite being level 26 if more then 1 thing attacks me I die really fast even with "buffs" from the Buff Manager.

I was wondering what to do? I can't afford a new weapon and I'm having trouble with quests.
