With the new forum log-in the security notification process was changed and now some people get this mail ~25 minutes after they try to validate their account, with a security code that's only valid for 10 minutes. In other words, those people can't post on the official forum or use the customer support. And they also can't buy NCoins anymore:

The latter aspect should motivate the staff to rethink their security notification process. I understand that you want people to keep an active email where they can be contacted and which can be used for verification purposes in case of things happening to the account. But for the past 11 years things also worked fine without that verification, and if you feel that you absolutely need that complication, please extend the validity of the code to 1 hour or something like that. This wouldn't impinge account security and make life easier for many people.
