I came back after a long time of absence from the game to inquire about the new expansion and whether or not will it revive Lineage in a whole new way.
I had the time to compare with other games on the market today and they obviously felt a lot smoother than the sluggish mechanics of Lineage 2.
Guild Wars 2 in particular, also published by NC, is entirely different from Lineage 2 considering how much it has to offer. Those who tried it will agree - the living world content, live events, storyline, dynamics. The only thing I disapprove is the limited combat which I absolutely detest.
As demanding as the game is it still runs smoother on my laptop than Lineage that is more than 10 years old running on an ancient engine giving power machines a hard time to run smooth.
I don't understand the logic of keeping a game alive without proper innovation.
So, what's in with the next expansion? Will it feature ground breaking changes? Will it uproot everything that has been carved into stone for Lineage so far?
