I would like to make a proposal on how to improve the current PVP system that has some obvious flaws. This proposal comes from someone who has played mmo rpgs for a long time (including older l2 chronicles and World of Warcraft).
THE PROBLEM
In clans with many wars, weaker classes that are at the same time either low level (compared to enemies) and/or outnumbered, cannot perform daily quests without being hunted and repeatedly killed. This is an aspect of the game that allows bullying. There are players who simply keep hunting for lower level healers who do dailies alone. This makes the gaming experience of support classes even more difficult than it already is.
THE FACTS
Different classes should retain their DIFFERENCES but they should have EQUAL opportunities. Otherwise the game becomes unbalanced. Lineage 2 has come a long way and improved tremendously through the years, but the pvp system still has a few flaws that allows the human greed and aggression to show.
THE SUGGESTION
Introduce an item that is going to give a buff lasting one hour, with a 24 hour cool-down. This buff will negate all clan wars for the user, so that the player can't be attacked by enemies, and also can't attack enemies for one hour a day. The idea is to give players a break, so that they can complete their dailies without being stalked, repeatedly killed and thus obstructed from advancing.
ETHICS OF WAR
War is war but even war has some rules and ethics. It is generally accepted that people should not massacre children (lower level players) and other defenseless persons (healers, buffers, or solo vs groups etc). War is one thing and being a psychopath is another. Because only psychopaths have no empathy for defenseless people. You have to ultimately find a way to control and improve the pvp system, so that it does not frustrate users and so that it wont favor specific classes in some way.
Some may argue that players know which areas are dangerous so they are visiting them on their own risk. While that is true, there are no alternatives to doing dailies in other regions. So it's either risking being hunted or not doing any dailies at all. With the current state of the game regarding adena, there are no alternatives on gaining currency simply for shots I would say, and not to get rich. I believe every player, should have the opportunity to do these quests.
Make this item available through a quest accessible only to support classes.
