Until this moment olympiad participants are competing against one another in a class and non class bassed matchups at lv. 85-99.
I suggest: a) divide participants into smaller categories based on their levels, i suppose there could be 4 groups- 1) 85-89; 2) 90-94; 3) 95-98; 4) 99+; b) change the rewards- the bigger group you are in the bigger rewards you are getting- we could have different Hero ranking system, i imagine something similar to boxing: for instance lv. 99+ could get Super Hero title, 95-98 Sub Hero, 90-94 Rising Star, 85-89 Novice Champion ( title names are imaginary off course, but you get the idea ).
Reason for such changes: a) increase the interest for olympiad games for all levels, including low levels, so that way new players could have fun too and b) that would help reduce the numbers of "AwayFromKeyboard participants".
Same thing with CoC: divide players by levels, change rewards ( different level of belts and so on ), expect reduced "AFK" population.
P.S. The fact that there are so many "AFK" players in olympiad and especially in CoC indicates that this part of game is not enough motivating to play it for real and therefore- not fully functional.
