All these years, I have been struggling to prove that it's possible to remain absolutely legit, self-sufficient, and, in spite of the fact the game is totally overrun by cheaters, still reach the ultimate goals.
Since only the impossible goals are worth aiming for.
To put it humbly, I doubt there is any other player in L2 capable of accomplishing the same, granted the same tiny amount of resources and equal terms.
I know L2 was not designed to be played in a single-palyer mode, but unfortunately it's the only way to make sure you're still legit and not tainted by the contagious cheaters.
Here's a brief retrospective of my L2 career, just a few milestones:
took part in one of the 1st successful Antharas raids in NA - check;
never dropped the tag as a member of an underdog clan at war with the entire server - check;
took part in numerous successful sieges of Aden, Rune, Heine and every other castle, held and defended them for years back in the day when mass pvp was still worth it - check;
in spite of being severely outleveled and outgeared, I managed to defeat the most prominent pvpers in the history of L2, from Kamisama to KOHEK - check;
since the start of GoD, obtained all my gear, worth a few billion in total (regular +3 weapons and a few armor sets from R grade to R99; and CoC jewels) solely from quests (Oly & CoC) - check;
solo farmed CRP and leveled my dead clan to lvl 8 - check;
leveled a few characters to 99 (solo Kartia ftw!) playing them in turn, mastered playing a few classes, made it to the Top 3 in the Olympiad ~30 times - check;
became a hero - check.
P.S. This post is in memory of my one and only clan, Honor Guardians, the one and only pvp clan that had a dream of bringing Honor into L2. It did not survive the invasion of bots after the first server merge and ceased to exist in 2008.
The worst part of my clan betrayed the legit banner and joined Nova to enjoy easy wins.
The best part of my clan had quitted the game once and for all.
I stayed to keep the clan tag in game. Stood alone as the living symbol of our unspotted honor and values.
Today I have closed the chapter.
Thanks for reading.
